This little nugget in an NBC report was pointed out by Newsweek

Not that we didn’t already know that Trump is a straight-up racist.

This is how Donald Trump responded to a Congressional Black caucus member who was concerned about welfare reform harming not only black constituents, but white constituents as well:

In the spring of 2017, the newly elected president met with members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

During that meeting, one of the members mentioned to Trump that welfare reform would be detrimental to her constituents— adding, “Not all of whom are black,” according to NBC.

The president was incredulous. “Really? Then what are they?”

Trump’s stereotype that only black people receive welfare is not only racist, it’s dead wrong.

Acccording to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this is “what are they” Donald:

Nationally, most of the people who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are white. According to 2013 data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which administers the program, 40.2 percent of SNAP recipients are white, 25.7 percent are black, 10.3 percent are Hispanic, 2.1 percent are Asian and 1.2 percent are Native American.

There can be no doubt that Donald Trump is a racist.
